Pick up from Haridwar railway
station and drive to Hotel. Evening visit of Ghats and excursion Hardwar
visiting Mansa Devi Temple and participation in Ganges puja Overnight Stay
at SGAR GANGA RESORT.
Hardwar or haridwar are two names for the same piece. The whole of
uttrakhand is dotted with temples of vishnu & shiva. Vishnu is known as hari
and shiva as har dwar means gate, and it is for this reason that this place
is known as haridwar or hardwar, as it is the gateway to shri badrinath and
shri kedarnath, the holy shrines of hari and har. The hindu pantheon allows
freedom of worship of gods in any form. Uttarakhand abounds in shrines of
gods & goddesses and haridwar from time immemorial has been the gateway to
these shrines

Rishikesh is situated on the
trisection of three districts of garhwal division and most of the city lies
on the right bank of the River Ganga, the place of sages is a celebrated
spiritual town on the bank of ganga and is surrounded by shivalik range of
the himalayas on three sides, it is said that when raibhya rishi did hard
penances, god appeared by the name of hrishikesh and this area henceforth
came to be known as rishikesh. It is the starting point for the char dham
pilgrimage of the hindus in which pilgrims go to yamunotri, gangotri,
kedarnath and badrinath to seek spiritual salvation. On the way to the
garhwal himalayas and the sikh shrine at hemkund sahib one passes rishikesh.
Rishikesh adventurous visitors, Rishikesh is the place for starting their
trekking expeditions and excursions towards the Himalayan peaks, 10 km
upsteam at shivpuri is the site for river running, rafting activities, on
the roaring white water of ganga, from October to May. The international
yoga week, which attracts participation from all across the world, is held
here every year from 2nd to 7th Feb. on the bank of ganga river. Places to

Morning trek to Yamunotri (14
km) after visit of the holy Shrine trek down five km to Janki Chatti .
Overnight hotel KALINDI.Trek to yamunotri temple (13 km) YAMUNOTRI: situated
at a elevation of 3235 meters above sea-level, the shrines of yamunotri is
one of the tour dhams of uttakhand. The source of yamuna lies about 11 km
ahead at an attitude of about 4421 meters. The approach is extremely
difficult and pilgrims therefore offer pooja at the temple itself.

After breakfast, trek nine kms
. Our vehicle will pick up and drive to Uttarkashi. Overnight hotel

Check into hotel afternoon visit of Gangotri Temple , Bhagirathi Shila ( the

As legend goes raja bhagirath
used to worship lord shiva at the sacred stone near which the temple is
located. It is believed that goddess, ganga first descended to earth from
heaven at this stone. Amar singh thapa, the gokha commander of garhwal, in
the 18th century A.D. constructed this temple. It is also believed that the
pandavas come here to perform the great deva yagna to atone the death of
their kinsmen in the bettle of MAHABHARATA |

afterwards trek to Kedarnath ( 14 kms ) thru the panoromic valley of
Mandakini. The gushing sound of river and cascading waterfalls provides a
romantic atmosphere for trekking. |

KEDARNATH
TEMPLE |

An imposing sight standing in
the middle of a wide plateau surrounded by snow covered peaks. The present
temple built in 18th century A.D. by Adi shankaracharya, stands adjacent tot
he site of earlier temple built by the pandavas. The inner walls of the
assembly hall are decorated with fitures of various deities and scenes from
mythology. Outside the temple door a large statue of the nandi bull stands
as guard. Dedicated to lord shiva, the exquisitely architectured, kedarnath
temple is considered to be more than 1000 years old. Built of extremely
large heavy and evenly cut grey slavs of stones. It evokes wonder as to how
these heavy slavs had been handled in the earlier days. The temple has a "Garbha
Griha" for worship and mandap appt. for assemblies of pilgrims and visitors.
A concial rock formation inside the temple is worshipped as lord shiva in

Badrinath
is one of the four dhams of the country and situated at an elevation of 3133
mts. Above sea level, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges
known as NAR & NARAYAN , with the towering NEEL KANTH PEAK providing a
splended back-drop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild barries
which gage it the name "badri Van" meaning forest of berries. Facing the
temple at the back of alaknanda river there is a hot water spring known as
TAPT KUND. |

PRECAUTION
FOR CHAR DHAM YATRA |

• Cover your head with Monkey
cap or any other woollen clothes while on high altitude to
avoid hill-sickness, giddiness etc., at Badrinath, KEDARNATH, Gangotri,
Yamunotri.
• Keep on drinking water/liquid to avoid hill-diarrhoea
• While on high altitude, eat only what is cooked over there.
• While on trekking, trek in one motion (Slow step), avoid any compitition.
Try to maintain
the trekking motion till last; this will keep maintained your stemona.
• Put sweet candid in the mouth, use electrol/gulcon in water while
trekking.
•Trek only on hill-side, avoid trekking or standing on valley side, as poney
(horse) coming
from opposite direction may push you down to the valley which may cause
serious
casualty.
•Tap-Water is available at every place, use only tap-water or boiled water
can be obtained
•from local chatti (tea-shop) on free of charges during on trekking.
•While hiring poney/doli/local laborer if tea/meals if offered to them, they
provide better
services or take more care of you.

Day 01: Delhi – Haridwar,
210 Kms. Drive (5 – 6hrs)
Arrive Delhi and transfer to Haridwar by Road,lunch enroute . On arrival in
Haridwar, Check in Hotel to relax. Evening free or visit Har Ki Pauri.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel.
Day 02: Haridwar – Barkot. 230kms. Drive (7 - 8 hrs)
Depart from Haridwar early morning and take lunch on the way in Mussoorie.
Restart your journey and reach Barkot in the evening after visiting Kempty
Falls on the way. On arrival check in hotel. Diner and Overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Barkot – Yamnotri– Barkot. 30 kms Drive / 10 km by jeep/ 5 kms
trek.
Again after an early breakfast leave for Hanuman Chatti ( Drive 32 kms ) to
start your journey. Take a local jeep to reach Phool chatti.. Arrive at
Yamunotri and pray at temple and also take a holy Achman to start your most
sacred pilgrimage to Char Dhams. Come back to Phool Chatti in the evening to
return back to hotel for dinner and relaxation at the hotel. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 04: Barkot – Uttarkashi. 100 kms Drive (5 – 6 hrs)
After a relaxed breakfast leave for Uttarkashi a drive of 100 kms. Checkin
hotel at Uttarkashi , Lunch evening free to explore locale, dinner &
overnight at hotel .
Day 05:
uttarkashi – Gangotri –Uttarkashi. Drive 150 kms
After breakfast leave for Gangotri and on arrival take a holy dip in the
River sacred The Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja
after that and relax for sometime in the lovely surroundings. Come back to
hotel in the afternoon to relax in the bright sunshine and some of
breathtaking views of the valley beautiful.. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 06:
Uttarkashi – Guptkashi. 283 kms. Drive (9 – 10 hrs)
After a very early breakfast leave for the longest journey of the trip
on the road. Late Lunch en route. On the way see the heritage city of Tehri
going down in to the mighty waters of Holy River Ganges, because of the
construction of Tehri Dam. After lunch restart your journey and today for
the first time see the river beautiful MANDAKINI. Travel along this to reach
Guptkashi late in the evening. On arrival check in Camp (Guptkashi. Dinner
and overnight at Camp).
Day 07: Guptkashi – Kedarnath. 32 kms Drive,14 kms trek
After breakfast pick up your packed Lunch and leave for Gaurikund ( a 32 kms
drive one way ) on arrival start your journey on the tough trek ahead. Stop
for the lunch en route and restart after that to arrive by late afternoon.
On arrival check in Bikaner house or similar. After freshening up perform
Pooja and also Darshan at the shri Kedarnath ji. In the evening also visit
Adi Shankaracharya samadhi at the back of the temple. Dinner and overnight.
Day 08: Kedarnath – Guptkashi. 14 kms Trek, 32 kms drive
After breakfast start you journey back to Gaurikund and on arrival leave for
Guptkashi by road to reach the Camp by evening. Dinner and overnight at
Camp.
Day 09: Guptkashi - Badrinath 235 kms.(6 – 7 hrs)

After breakfast leave forBadrinath via Chopta via Joshimath, one of the most
beautiful sites on the whole trip. Enjoy the beautiful drive through the
thick medicinal forest and stop at Pipalkoti for Lunch. Arrive athotel
Badrinath by late afternoon. Evening free in Badrinath. Dinner and overnight
at Ashram/hotel
Day 10: Badrinath - Pipalkoti 70 kms Drive
After breakfast leave for Shri Badrinath ji, on arrival take the holy
Darshan and spend time visiting Mana village the last village before the
Tibet border. Come back to hotel(at pipalkoti) for dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Pipalkoti – Haridwar. 250 kms. Drive (9 – 10 hrs)
After breakfast leave for Haridwar and on the way take lunch. Restart and if
time permits visit Devprayag ( The confluence of rivers Alaknanda and
Bhagirathi, to become Ganga ). Reach Haridwar in the evening to check in
Hotel.
Day 12: Haridwar – Delhi
After breakfast leave for Delhi. Tour ends on arrival in Delhi.

Day 01 : - Delhi - Haridwar
(214 kms / 5 hrs)
Assemble at Nizamuddin Railway Station, New Delhi at 1200 hrs. You will
depart for Haridwar by road. (214 kms / 5 hrs). Lunch en-route. Upon arrival
at Haridwar, check in at your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to
explore the city on your own. Evening Ganga Arti at Har Ki Pauri. Dinner &
Overnight at Haridwar. (L. D)
Day 2 : Haridwar - Barkot (175kms/7hrs)
After breakfast, we proceed to Barkot . En-route enjoy delicious lunch
at wayside restaurant . Barkot is a place of great scenic beauty with
spectacular views of snow-capped mountains all around. A magnificent view of
the eternal snow peaks of Bandar punch can be seen from here. Dinner and
overnight at The Chardham Camp, Barkot. (B.L.D)
Day 3 : Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot (32 km drive and 7 km trek).
After early breakfast, we will proceed to Phoolchatti. On arrival, we begin
our trek to Yamunotri (7 km/ 3 hrs) to visit the temple of Goddess Yamuna,
situated on the bank of the river. You can take a holy dip in the nearby
tank filled by hot springs and cook rice in its water, the common rituals
performed by the devotees. We return to Barkot in the evening. Dinner and
Overnight at The Chardham Camp, Barkot (B.L.D)
Day 4 : Barkot - Harsil (174 kms,7hrs)
After breakfast, we will proceed to Harsil – one the most beautiful
valleys in the world. En-route we will stop at Gangnani for hot water spring
dip. Dinner and overnight at The Chardham Camp, Harsil. (B.L.D)
Day 5: Harsil – Gangotri – Uttarkashi ( 110 Kms )
After breakfast, we proceed to Gangotri (22 kms/1 hr). On arrival take a
holy deep in the River scared The Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its
origin. Perform pooja and relax in the lovely surrounding. In the afternoon
return back to Harsil for Lunch . Post Lunch proceed for Uttarkashi . Dinner
and overnight at The Chardham Camp, Maneri, Uttarkashi. (B.L.D)
Day 6: Uttarkashi – Guptakashi ( 228 Kms/ 8 Hrs )
After early breakfast, we will proceed to Guptakashi (283 kms/9 hrs).
Dinner and overnight at The Chardham Camp, Guptakashi.
Day 7 : Guptakashi - Kedarnath
After breakfast, we proceed to Gaurikund (19 kms / 30 mnts). Take a holy
dip at Taptakund and begin our trek to Kedarnath (14 kms/4 hrs). In the
evening we take you to visit Kedarnath Temple for Darshan, Aarti & pooja.
Dinner and overnight at Punjab & Sindh Awas or similar. (B, L, D)
Day 8 : Kedarnath - Guptakashi
After breakfast, we start our journey towards Guptakashi with a stopover
at Taptakund. Dinner and overnight at The Chardham Camp, Guptakashi.
Day 9 : Guptakashi - Joshimath
After breakfast, we proceed to Joshimath (175 kms / 6-7 hrs), one of the
most beautiful sites on the whole trip. Enjoy the beautiful drive through
medicinal forest. On arrival in check in to your Chardham camp. Evening is
free for you to explore Joshimath on your own. Dinner and overnight at The
Chardham Camp, Joshimath. (B.L.D).
Day 10: Joshimath – Badrinath - Joshimath
After breakfast, we proceed to Badrinath. On arrival take holy Darshan
and spend time visiting Mana Village. We return to Joshimath in the evening.

Day 11: Joshimath – Haridwar
After breakfast, we proceed to Haridwar (274 kms/ 9-10 hrs). Rest of the
day will be at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Haridwar.
Day 12: Haridwar – Delhi
After a leisurely breakfast you will be transferred to New Delhi. (214

Syanachatti, proceed to Yamnotri (08 k.m TREK).After pooja and
Darshan in Yamnotri ,back to Hanumanchatti.
Hanumanchatti TO Uttarkashi :- After Lunch .Drive to Uttarkashi.
Upon arrival check in hotel.
DAY 04:UTTARKASHI-GANGOTRI

After tea and breakfast in hotel .Drive to Gangotri Enroute visit
Harsil. Upon arrival in Gangotri. Check in hotel.
DAY 05 :GANGOTRI-UTTARKASHI (BY
SURFACE ,97 KM )
After tea and breakfast in hotel. Drive to Uttarkashi. Enroute visit
Harsil and Gangori (Hot water spring). Upon arrival in Uttarkashi
check in hotel. Evening visit famous Vishuwanath Temple.
DAY 06:-UTTARKASHI-RUDRAPRAYAG

After tea and breakfast in hotel .Drive to Rudraprayag.Upon arrival
check in hotel.
DAY 07 : RUDRAPRAYAG-GAURIKUND (

KEDARNATH (BY TREK 15 K.M OR HORSE RIDE ,PALKI) After tea and
breakfast in Hotel .Drive and Trek to Kedarnath. Upon arrival check
